IPoker, $0.02/$0.04 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 5 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

      Hero (BB): $4 (100 bb)
      MP: $1.66 (41.5 bb)
      CO: $6.45 (161.3 bb)
      BTN: $5 (125 bb)
      SB: $2.44 (61 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6 5
3 folds, SB completes, Hero raises to $0.12, SB calls $0.08

      Flop: ($0.24) 5 J J (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.16, SB calls $0.16

      Turn: ($0.56) 9 (2 players)
      SB checks, Hero checks

      River: ($0.56) T (2 players)
      SB bets $0.56, Hero folds

      Results: $0.56 pot ($0.03 rake)
      Final Board: 5 J J 9 T
Hero mucked 6 5 and lost (-$0.28 net)
SB mucked and won $0.53 ($0.25 net)

Our opponent has the following stats:
      VP/PFR/AF/WTSD/hands 73/23/1.4/27/23

I thought his completing range is extremely wide, so I can try and take it down preflop, or with a cbet on good flops postflop with this hand. This is also the question of the hand - is this not too loose, since he can call us often both preflop and postflop too?

Other than that I guess this is standard.

      Hello Avatars91,

Nah, I like your play here. What would you do if some random card would have come and non on turn? Good fold ton the river of course, he ain't bluffing there. :P

      Best Regards.

Good question. I guess I'd check unless it is a 2, 3 or 4 or we improve as it is hard to say if our opponent would call with anything worse because all he can call with that we have beat there is a smaller PP, FD or A high maybe.

Against such an opponent you can easily Bet it again and protect your hand from overcards and of course gain a free showdown with it. Avoid bluffing him on the river which might be hard for us to Call.

Is betting on the turn good only for the reason of protection/free showdown?
Because I'm not too sure our opponent is calling with too many worse hands on the turn.

What is better then? Checking behind and Calling the river and make the guessing game if we are ahead? Whilst we could easily protect our hand on the turn. :) Which do you think is better?

Do you really think our hand here is that strong to consider continuing playing it on the turn and river? I wouldn't consider calling most bets on the river anyway.

While there is FD possible, opponent is playing with VPIP of 76, definitely! He may easily even Call with A/K highs :D
