      Not sure I played this hand too great.

      I think Pre-Flop villians raise is perhaps a touch too large for me to call with what is essentially a drawing hand.

      On the flop I'm happy to give it up.

      On turn I figure he may be scared of Ax and that he could fold better PP's than the five I had just hit, or overcards to my pair which still have equity (KQ etc).

      On river I think he has some PP's in his range that may pay me off fairly small. When I got raised I decided I had mis-read him and he slow played Ax on flop.

      I like your play actually and unfortunately there is not much to do, especially when that guy is Checking on the flop behind it's already a sign of having a trap.

      Also watch out for those complete/calls, while you must understand you are playing your hand OOP and it's not that easy to play it OOP with any draw or any made hand.
