This is one of the tough spots I get into at my limits. Villain is a tight reg with a 3 bet of 2.9% over 1.2k hands. Can you please explain how you would play this hand?

Hand converted with online hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.15/$0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

      Known players:
      MP3 (Hero):

      Preflop: Hero is MP3 with J, J.
MP2 folds, Hero raises to $0.90, 2 folds, SB raises to $2.95, BB folds, Hero calls $2.05.

      Flop: ($6.15) 5, 8, 5 (2 players)
SB bets $2.75, Hero raises to $10.00, SB calls $7.25.

      Turn: ($26.15) 7 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $13.21(All-In), SB raises to $21.60.

      River: ($60.96) 2 (2 players)

      Final Pot: $60.96.
      Results follow:

Hero shows two pairs, jacks and fives(J J).
SB shows two pairs, aces and fives(A A).

SB wins with two pairs, aces and fives(A A).

Fold preflop. You are well behind his 3betting range in this combination of positions and your preflop odds are very bad so you can't set mine.

      i agree

if you think he is upto summit then just play way ahead or way behind and call down if he doest up the betting too much!

he will want value from his aces so if you play passively or how a set would play esp on a dry board you can get him to put the breaks on and get to showdown. depending on the player of course.

but you cant go wrong folding pre-flop as at best you are 50/50 before the flop

i agree his 3bet range has you pretty crushed AK QQ KK AA
why did you raise his cbet? your never getting any value from AK here and you get called by his better hands, fold pre. as played call cbet and fold to 2nd barrel
