IPoker, $0.02/$0.04 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

      Hero (BB): $4.08 (102 bb)
      SB: $5.16 (129 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A 5
SB raises to $0.16, Hero calls $0.12

      Flop: ($0.32) K 9 T (2 players)
      Hero checks, SB checks

      Turn: ($0.32) J (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets $0.16, Hero folds

      Results: $0.32 pot ($0.02 rake)
      Final Board: K 9 T J
Hero mucked A 5 and lost (-$0.16 net)
SB mucked and won $0.30 ($0.14 net)

      Opponent's stats: VP/PFR/Foldto3bet/Cbetflop/CbetTurn/WTSD/hands
      77/41/20(5)/50(2)/0(1)/9/88

Indeed, I am starting to understand that HU is not for me and beginners. Just a random thought before commenting upon the hand.

I think we can call since our opponent doesn't Cbet that often and we can often bet on the turn and make him either fold or call with worse. On this board I decided against it, however, because I fail to see something better fold.

      Hello Avatars91,

But what's your overall plan? You are planning to play the hand OOP, doubt that you are so good OOP with those hands. By just hoping "he isn't CBetting that much I can bet the turn" isn't enough in HU. :)

      Best Regards.

I'm sorry. I don't understand why I thought that he doesn't Cbet that often. The sample size is so small and 50(2) basically says nothing about him. Did I miswrite the stats? Anyway, you are right.

So I shouldn't be calling with this hand unless I have a clear plan?

Well, in HU you must always have a plan before even starting the hand. Either 3bet, fold or Call. :) You gonna play the hand OOP and do you think that you have such an huge edge here vs him with just weak Ace?
