I posted a hand in the hand devaluation forum where I shoved QQ and tripled up.

      Then I get this:

      Party, $10 Buy-in (50/100 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 9 Players

      BB: 1,740 (17.4 bb)
      Hero (SB): 2,130 (21.3 bb)
      MP1: 2,730 (27.3 bb)
      BTN: 2,205 (22.1 bb)
      CO: 1,700 (17 bb)
      MP3: 3,450 (34.5 bb)
      UTG+1: 2,435 (24.4 bb)
      UTG+2: 1,790 (17.9 bb)
      MP2: 1,820 (18.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J J
6 folds, BTN raises to 300, Hero raises to 2,130 and is all-in, BB folds, BTN calls 1,830

      Flop: (4,360) 9 7 J (2 players, 1 is all-in)
      Turn: (4,360) 8 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
      River: (4,360) 8 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

      Results: 4,360 pot
      Final Board: 9 7 J 8 8
Hero showed J J and lost (-2,130 net)
      BTN showed 8 8 and won 4,360 (2,230 net)

      This is in a double-or-nothing.
Had an over-all good day, so I just laughed when it happened.

Thinking afterwards, I thought maybe I should have just called, then played post-flop, but the result would have been identical. I'm not folding jacks full of 8s and he is extremely unlikely to fold his trip 8s.
