      Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.25/$0.5 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

      Known players:
      BB (Hero):

      Preflop: Hero is BB with 7, 9.
      UTG1 calls $0.50, 3 folds, MP3 calls $0.50, 3 folds, Hero checks.

      Flop: ($1.75) 4, 6, 8 (3 players)
      Hero checks, UTG1 checks, MP3 bets $0.50, Hero raises to $1.50, UTG1 folds, MP3 raises to $4.50, Hero raises to $14.50, MP3 calls $10.00.

      Turn: ($30.75) 8 (2 players)

      River: ($30.75) A (2 players)

      Final Pot: $30.75.

      MP3 stats: 47/2/1,8/100; vpip/pfr/af/hands

      bet from MP3 looked like a bluff to me, so i raised to take the pot right away.
      when he 3bets me i knew he had some kind of a made hand(set, two pair, overpair, top pair, midpair...) i tought he is capable of folding some of those hands to my push and if not, i still have decent equity with my OESD, so i raised to allin.

      thinking about the hand now...i think i should just call the bet, odds were good enough and by doing that UTG1 could stay in with some marginal hands...and if i hit my straight MP3 would probably pay me off with all hands he would call my push as i played above...probably would be better to play this way?

      Hey Tilen,

      Instead of check/raising, we can just bet the Flop as a semi-bluff :) We risk much less and we can call a raise when we get raised.

      Now Mp3 is playing pretty loose-passive which means that his bet is mostly looking strong. We only have an OESD so let's say you are up against A8,86,66,75,44 we have:

      Board: 4:club: 6:heart: 8:diamond:
             Equity     Win     Tie
      MP2    67.35%  67.03%   0.32% { 66, 44, A8s, 86s, 75s, A8o, 86o, 75o }
      MP3    32.65%  32.33%   0.32% { 9d7s }

      So we need loads of fold equity to compensate that
      I prefer betting the Flop, as played shoving is disastrous on his raise because you are way behind. I just call the $4.5 raise and hope that I hit

      Best regards,
