      $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 9 Players

      Hero (CO): $5 (100 bb)
      BTN: $5.03 (100.6 bb) 15/12/5.0/13.0/52
      SB: $5 (100 bb)
      BB: $5.26 (105.2 bb)
      UTG+1: $2 (40 bb)
      UTG+2: $4.80 (96 bb)
      MP1: $4 (80 bb)
      MP2: $4.01 (80.2 bb)
      MP3: $3.83 (76.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J J
UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 calls $0.05, 3 folds, Hero raises to $0.25, BTN raises to $0.82, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.57

I called because he has a high 3-Bet percentage 13%. Is this call against this guy correct. He does have position over me.

      Flop: ($1.76) 8 8 K (2 players)
Hero bets $1, BTN raises to $4.21 and is all-in, Hero folds

Good move to donk here or a big blunder on this board against this guy?

      Results: $3.76 pot ($0.18 rake)
      Final Board: 8 8 K
Hero mucked J J and lost (-$1.82 net)
BTN mucked and won $3.58 ($1.76 net)

3bet% over 52 hands is not reliable. So a fold pre-flop is the best option here. If you call you should play check/fold the flop. A 3bet preflop mostly means a strong made hand QQ+ or AK and maybe KQ. With the K on the board you beat not much here.

Yeah well come to think of it my bluff was tough to work here. AA,KK,AK would not fold here. The best I could hope that might fold is QQ.

      Hello maheepsangari,

Preflop: You don't have enough of hands, he is 3betting very big. So I'd just fold the hand. :)

      As played
Postflop: Why do you donk? Do you want to make better hands to fold? From what you trying to get value from by this play?

      Best Regards.

I was just trying to bluff. I thought I might scare of QQ,JJ or other combinations without a K. But there aren't many combinations like that that he could have so I think it was a weak spot to bluff.

What were you trying to represent with your bluff? Look at this from his perspective. Would you have called a 3-bet with A8s, K8s, 89s, 87s or weaker 8x hands? How about KK? If he has AK, you can only beat his hand with AA, with which you would've reraised his 3-bet.

Save some money by folding JJ preflop to a 3-bet and wait for another opportunity to get you money in... and try not to bluff too often in the micro stakes...

Would you ever donk like that with Kx hand? :) Doubt so. :P

IMO, JJ is the worst hand to call 3bet preflop OOP. It's better to shove than call because you wont get hard choices post flop.
