Should I have been able to get away from this?

I think all my bets here are good, maybe the flop a little smaller, but with so many in the pot, I don't want to bet smaller and find alot of callers here.

      Hero (UTG): $13.28 (221.3 bb)
      MP: $6 (100 bb)
      CO: $9.29 (154.8 bb)
      BTN: $3.41 (56.8 bb)
      SB: $4.09 (68.2 bb)
      BB: $3.71 (61.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J J
Hero raises to $0.21, MP raises to $0.54, CO calls $0.54, 2 folds, BB raises to $0.87, Hero calls $0.66, MP calls $0.33, CO calls $0.33

      Flop: ($3.51) 3 8 7 (4 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $3.50, MP folds, CO raises to $8.42 and is all-in, BB calls $2.84 and is all-in, Hero calls $4.92

      Turn: ($23.19) K (3 players, 2 are all-in)
      River: ($23.19) 6 (3 players, 2 are all-in)

      Results: $23.19 pot ($1.15 rake)
      Final Board: 3 8 7 K 6
Hero showed J J and lost (-$9.29 net)
MP mucked and lost (-$0.87 net)
      CO showed Q Q and won $10.61 ($1.32 net)
      BB showed 8 8 and won $11.43 ($7.72 net)

      You should have folded preflop!
You faced a 3bet and a 4bet, you are out of position and it is very probable that you are behind at least to one of your opponents. If you called to see a flop, that was a very bad idea, because any overcard could be fatal and being out of position you can't get any info on your opponents hands. Also there is the posibility of one of your opps shoveing at wich point you are most probably beat.

If you want to play your hand no matter what, it is better to just shove yourself preflop to protect against overcards and set mining.

      Hello MattDenness,

MP is behind you who could easily just 4bet there, BB line is also kind of strong, could be strong overpair. So therefore I'd most likely just fold it preflop. :)

But as played once again totally overplayed your overpair.

      Best Regards.
