This hands looks like a complete mess, another old one by the looks of it :D

My SH games died out, Must have felt confident to stay HU against villain though. Could easily get this situation in a SH game though so comments and view still appreciated !

Should I have just checked the river? My small value bet was there to try and get any weak A to call or to raise me, but backfired and now just looks like a stupid play :D

      BB: $23.73 (237.3 bb)
      Hero (SB): $13.98 (139.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A K
Hero raises to $0.30, BB calls $0.20

      Flop: ($0.60) 7 5 A (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.45, BB raises to $1.46, Hero calls $1.01

      Turn: ($3.52) 7 (2 players)
BB bets $2.64, Hero calls $2.64

      River: ($8.80) 3 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $3, BB raises to $13.35, Hero calls $6.58 and is all-in

      Results: $27.96 pot ($1.00 rake)
      Final Board: 7 5 A 7 3
      BB showed 5 5 and won $26.96 ($12.98 net)
Hero showed A K and lost (-$13.98 net)

      Hello MattDenness,

I'd most likely Bet/Fold it right on the flop without even knowing the opponent.

As played the river is rather a Check-behind for me, especially when the FD even completed. If you bet what do you expect to beat if he shoves?

      Best Regards.
