      $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 9 Players

      UTG+1: $9.11 (182.2 bb)
      UTG+2: $2.41 (48.2 bb)
      Hero (MP1): $6.66 (133.2 bb) 21/12/2.7/3.5/0.0/52
      MP2: $2.73 (54.6 bb) 50/8/0.6/5.9/36
      MP3: $5 (100 bb)
      CO: $6.43 (128.6 bb)
      BTN: $5.05 (101 bb)
      SB: $5 (100 bb)
      BB: $3.80 (76 bb) 37/4/1.6/0.0/70

      Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A A
      2 folds, Hero raises to $0.20, MP2 calls $0.20, 4 folds, BB calls $0.15

      Flop: ($0.62) J 8 7 (3 players)
BB bets $0.10, Hero raises to $0.55, MP2 raises to $2.53 and is all-in, 2 folds

Safe to assume that we are behind on this hand? I mean it might be obvious I was just having trouble folding aces here and wanted to know if it was the right move.

      Results: $1.82 pot ($0.08 rake)
      Final Board: J 8 7
Hero mucked A A and lost (-$0.75 net)
      MP2 mucked and won $1.74 ($0.99 net)
BB mucked and lost (-$0.30 net)

Don't know what the judge will say but from mu exp at NL2 this is a clear call. Even though that guy is very loose and his range includes T9 J8 J7 but a lot of micro players will go all in at this spot with KJ or AJ so I think you have decent spot to make some profit. the pot would be different if there were 2 suited cards then you might fold. That just what I think.

Hi rap1dw1n3r, thanks for your analysis. However I feel he could also have T9, 77, 88, JJ, 78, J8, J7. His range is loose enough to have any of these. His AF however is really low, 0.6 so he diesn't raise a lot. Shouldn't an All In from such a player be believed?

Well yeh it should be believed but I wouldn't stick only to stats at this point :) He's playing a lot of hand and he's a fish. The hand you mentioned are his current range. If it's really that pulverized than it's a good fold because on average you will be loosing in this spot but really it's a flip at this point :) you should do what your intuition says to do :)

      I would call his shove!
Of chorse you will sometimes encounter 2 pair, sets or the straigth but this tipe of player will go all-in with top pair, random kicker, a pair + gut shot, gut shot+a high card and even second pair with a high card.

      Hello maheepsangari,

Against that kind of range I doubt that I am able to fold here. Most likely I'd play for the stacks vs his stack since he does have a lot of Jx hands in his range there and maybe even worse.

But of course if you feel he is so passive and wouldn't ship with worse then folding is definitely fine. ;)

      Best Regards.
