ok so here's my read on vilain after having played him regurlaly for more than 2 weeks:
-Tight passive
-maybe too nitty
-but capable of making moves

and moreover last 2 sessions against him I have been experimenting w/ LAG style, having a 40 VP%IP.

Poker Room skin
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.15/$0.25
4 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $15.10
Button: $24.60
SB: $35.10
Hero: $25

Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is BB with A:spade: A:heart:
UTG calls $0.25 [color:aaaaaa](pot was $0.4), Button calls $0.25 [color:aaaaaa](pot was $0.65), SB calls $0.1 [color:aaaaaa](pot was $0.9), [color:#cc0000]Hero raises to $2, UTG folds, Button calls $2 [color:aaaaaa](pot was $2.5), SB folds.

Flop: 6:heart: T:club: 5:spade: ($4.5, 2 players)
[color:#cc0000]Hero bets $4, Button calls $4 [color:aaaaaa](pot was $8.5).

Turn: 8:club: ($12.5, 2 players)
[color:#cc0000]Hero bets $11, [color:#cc0000]Button raises all-in $18.35, Hero calls $7.35 [color:aaaaaa](pot was $41.85).

River: 2:club: ($49.2, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $49.2)

Results:
Final pot: $49.2

basically he made anwful call preflop and got lucky, what I am interested in is whether I could not have gotten stacked without taking a weak line like c/f turn

Once he flatcalled me on flop, I was pretty sure he wanted to float me with like any2 cards or that he had a set, but I thought he would raise his set on flop.
That's why I fired a big second barrel, to commit myself, and get some value if he was on a weak calling down w/ AT kind of line.
I thought

what are your thoughts ?

i'd bet less on the flop and less on the turn as there are no draws out there. around 2/3 pot will do.

then i'd fold to his reraise. given the reads, he really can't be doing this with any worse hand.

If you want to avoid pushing off your hand and stacking then c/c turn, c/f river ui, because player shouldn´t bet out the river weaker hand than two pair or set.

the standard line i take is bet/fold flop, bet/fold turn, check/fold river with an overpair on a drawless board, 100BB deep. the reason is because sometimes they will float you with top pair, or something similar, and fire 2 bullets behind with these sorts of hands. so i don't like c/c as much.

but both lines are OK. c/f river is a must, of course.

chenny8888 aren't you gonna get owned by agressive people who will raise you with a worse overpair or even a top pair kind of hand ?

I mean, I would definitely raise flop with AT, JJ,QQ,KK so if you bet/fold AA you're mucking the best hand quite often I think
