I must improve.

My name is Rickie, I'm 18 and from Leicester, United Kingdom. I've been playing poker casually for over two years now. I've never taken it very seriously although I'm quite the competitor. I've been on this site for a long time now but I never really use to forums or watch many videos.

To cut a long story short, I have been using the free capital on Poker770 and I feel as if I'm doing well. Because of how I was playing, I decided to take a trip down my local casino to see whether or not it was possible to play some cash games. The told me all of the information I needed to know and I was happy playing there. I turned £80 in to £191 by targeting certain players, choosing my hands selectively and trying my best to adapt to whatever happened.

However, I don't feel like my game is good enough at the minute. There are so many flaws that I can't seem to notice right now. Playing against regulars at a casino was nerve wracking, especially when I wasn't using bankroll management, yet I seemed to do well against them. Was it luck? I don't know but I felt as if I came out knowing I played at a good standard.

To put it simply, I would like to know, in as many ways as possible, how I can improve my game. If you suggest videos could you perhaps point out which ones to watch? The same goes for coaching/sweat sessions - who's should I try to participate in. I'd also love it if somebody would be nice enough to take me under their wing as some sort of project. I doubt that will happen but maybe somebody here enjoys doing things like that.

I'll be trying to crush micro stakes at Poker770 for the time being. Thank you.

TL;DR: I feel like there are a lot of flaws in my game and I'd like to know, in as many ways as possible, how I could improve it. I'd also quite enjoy it if somebody would be nice enough to take me under their wing and try, personally, to improve my style of play and overall knowledge.

£1000 a lesson?! I'd rather shit in a can and eat it.

What do you play? I can help you out with FL hold'em but I doubt you're playing that.

How I improve my game by myself:

-Watch a ton of videos - both here and on DC
      -Regular session reviews/sweat sessions ~once a week
-Participate actively in the hand evaluation forums
-Review my own sessions in the replayer (I should do this more to be honest, very useful!)

If you don't have anybody to make a sweat session with, just try to find a smart guy (for example, on PS forums) who plays around the same stakes as you and schedule some sweat sessions.

Besides all the great material that can be found here, I really like "Easy Game" by balugawhale (theory and general thoughts about poker). The view on poker written in that book certainly gave me a different outlook on poker, than what I gathered only from free online stuff...

Everything you need is out there, if I could find it you can too...
