Actually, I was hoping we could have articles on Heads Up play.
The problem is, for as much as I know, that there are not too many strategies for HU, its mostly reads/stats, table selection is crucial and so on.
The basic principles are - every pocket pair is like the nuts, otherwise A high is often the best hand, and top pair on the flop is usually the best hand.
Im not a specialist on HU though - did play several in SnG's, but when its a 10 handed SnG, heads up comes in the late stages, where its push-or-fold anyway...
So I would advice you against HU SnG's or cash for now.Play fullring, and master the game....

i'm sick of fullring, it's like watching paint dry ^^
i started playing NL SH a week ago and i have like 6-7bb/100 hands after 5k hands, and it's still very slow and boring climbing up the micro limits, HU looks interesting.. tonight i played 3 5.25$ sngs and won 2 of them and 1 10.50$ sng and won it also, just to get a feel of it and they're apparently real easy to beat..
If you are patient you win, most players get bored or whatever after 30 minutes or so and start to push every hand:) very weak players in HU sngs

I know the basics, but i wanted to learn more advanced aspects.. i have many poker books on my computer but can't find anything about HU play

edit: thanks, helemaalnicks! you replied right when I wrote this post and i didn't see it, I have harrington on holdem and i'm going to look for HU now
