      SB: $31.47 - VPIP: 20, PFR: 12, 3B: 0, AF: 2.7, Hands: 50

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is UTG with 5 :spade: 5
Hero raises to $0.85, 3 folds, SB calls $0.75, 1 fold

      Flop: ($1.95) 5 :diamond: 4 :spade: 8  (2 players)
SB bets $0.93, Hero raises to $4, SB folds

I raised flop because I was afraid of a bad turn, which if I count the cards, the only bad ones seem to be a 6 or a 7.

Qa: Should I check and give him a chance to continue his display of agression on the turn and decide then what to do?

Qb: If I had pure air is it a good raise with the plan to barrel turn maybe river in order to make all his medium pairs to fold?

      Hi,

you can sometimes raise with overcards or gutshot type hands (like As7s). With set you can raise if your image is bad, but generally I think he would b/f against 4$ raise, so I would make it no larger than 3$

      best regards,
