      Hello maheepsangari,

Why do you raise the flop? You practically turning you overpair there into bluff. I don't get at all the idea of the raise, neither the raise size. If you raise there for value then rather 3bet preflop and play for the stacks or if you raise the flop then play for the stacks.

      Best Regards.

I was trying to make hands like AK fold. I find myself in such a position many times, I call a pre-flop raise, I have an overpair on the flop but don't know what to do then when face with a C-Bet and most of the times I face this situation with JJ and a board with cards lower than J. I feel that if I re-raise there I'd know where I stand in the hand cause QQ, AA and KK would continue to play and everybody else would fold. How do you feel I should play these situations?

Call the flop and reevaluate it on the turn.
