[NL2-NL10] Having Trouble with this type of hand

Sorry for posting two hands in a same post but they are very similar and I wanted a view on how I should generally be approaching them.

In the first hand the guy was tight 9/5 and aggressive 3.5. I thought since he is tight its best to believe he has a set and not get into a dirty situation.

In the second hand I have only 6 hands on the guy and I again ended up folding to a raise to avoid a marginal situation.

Firstly is it even a marginal situation or am I underestimating the strength of my hands. Secondly am I underplaying these hands. I do have a tendency to play this way and I end up folding overpairs after facing aggression from someone who doesn't have initiative.

      Hello maheepsangari,

Seems to be a nit and therefore I would have played the same way. If he really starts picking very often lines against us then I would start playing back. But very often such nits have mainly PPs in their range and they are raising for value with sets on the flo. ;)

      Best Regards.
