You know where the f*** you are?

      You're in a jungle, baby!

Welcome everyone to my blog. Since I decided to start it on PS.com, it will be mainly about poker, but I hope not only, as the main ideas of this blog is to have fun and imrove my english :f_biggrin: Well, mindfucking and mad handreading skillz as well.

So, my name is Alex, I'm 19 and I'm from Russia, but atm I study in college in Brighton, UK.
I'm not gonna explain how did I lose my first $50, it was soo damn long ago. Now I have a roll of ~$350 on stars, ~100 on party and 50 on TAF :D . I plan to play on stars, NL10SH deep w antes for some crazy action. I play only four tables as I have a 14" laptop, but still, want to put some volume up in February. No graphs or stats, since I didn't play much lately.

      February targets:
      --25k hands NLHSH
      --Move to NL25

      Longterm:
      --Other types of poker
--Get a decent connection to play MTTS :s_mad:
      --Some live action
      --obv, get to uni

Btw, is there anyone here from Brighton to go play live together?
So far I've played just one freezout @ Grossvenors. It was quite nice, decent structure.

Phew... Going out, partying, studying... I feel like even 25k hands will be a challenge) Anyway, challenge accepted.

So, a hand to start with.
Not that I'm in serious doubt about this hand, but... just to show my play, mb start some discussion.

      Known players:
      SB:
      $39.08
      Hero:
      $20.61
      MP3:
      $16.58
      CO:
      $23.23
      BU:
      $25.94

      0.05/0.1 No-Limit Hold'em - Ante: $0.02 (5 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy.com Elephant 0.106 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5:club: , 4:club:
2 folds, BU raises to $0.30, SB folds, Hero calls $0.20.

      Flop: ($0.75) 5:diamond: , 3:spade: , 3:club: (2 players)
Hero checks, BU bets $0.54, Hero raises to $1.50, BU calls $0.96.

      Turn: ($3.75) 6:spade: (2 players)
Hero bets $2.4, BU calls $2.40.

      River: ($8.55) 4:diamond: (2 players)
Hero checks, BU bets $4.08, Hero calls $4.08.

      Final Pot: $16.71

Flop I raised for value and protection, most A-highs are not giving up on such flop, against a 3bet this is probably a fold.
On turn we pick up an openender, and I feel like betting is a best way to get info. A-highs with a fd are definetly calling, maybe AK-AQ w/o fd.
River doesn't change anything, it's unlikely that he's got a straight here. Just mb As2s. All hands behind us will just fold on a bet, so I guess check/call is the best. Monster overpairs would've probably raised turn or even flop, and I doubt he'll turn mid pockets into bluff here. That basically means we beat most hands he bets on the river.

Easygame. But maybe you have any other thoughts?

Played another live tournament on friday. I generally feel confident about me beating these tourneys, so I'll def play more of it. For now I'm just getting used to the specifics of live poker.

      Now time for some fun=)
