      Hi fellow poker strategists!

I'm fairly new to the site and have recently found time to hit the forums. So I think that now is a good time to say hello.

My name is Iain and I'm [CLASSIFIED] years old. I live in Nottingham, England (loads of live poker in the city {3 casinos & Dusk Till Dawn} :D :f_biggrin: :s_biggrin: ).

I've been playing poker for 7 years, though 4 of them don't really count as it was play money.

I'm currently grinding the $50 starting capital at Poker770 and I'm doing well playing 0.05/0.10 & 0.10/0.20 FLHE. I've been at it for almost 2 weeks or 1000 hands depending on how you look at things and I'm already $10+ in profit. :f_cool:

I enjoy a live cash game too, though I'm not strictly following BRM, they tend to be very soft compared to similar stakes on-line.

      Well that's enough about me.

      B.

      aye up Iain!

im not really sure what that means but i assume its some kind of either british or pirate hello. :D in either case, a warm welcome to our forums! wow 7 years is a long time. that's the time period i needed to study medicine. you must be quite experienced already. so what has it been like? did you ever live off poker?

      smiles,
      wendy

Aye up (mi duck) is a Derbyshire/East Midlands greeting, no piracy here [HONEST, well except all the music & films on my hard drive].

I've never made a living at poker :s_cry: though I hope that will change in due course. I have had major tilt issues in the past (not happy till my account balance is $0 type rage) but I seem to have that under control thanks to Tommy Angelo & Jared Tendler books.

I'm doing more than ok at Poker770 with my starting capital though :f_biggrin:

Here's my graph as of today

Not bad eh? Shaky first 300 ish hands then I re-read the post flop articles and ramped up the agression. :s_evil:

I'm older than 39 and less than 42, its my birthday next Wednesday as it happens.

I've played at DTD many times but I haven't been to rail a major tourney yet. I am planning to go and check out the fun at UKIPT Nottingham this year and maybe hit on Liv Boeree & Vicky Coren  while I'm at it. lol :f_love:

      Thanks for the warm welcome!

      B.

nice giraffe you have there :D

and wow that does seem like a really bad tilt issue. ive struggled with this myself but not until zero balance :s_confused: thats pretty extreme. glad to hear you're sorting it out.

and LOL at your ukipt goals. pretty solid :D
