I have some duobts about your strategy - don't really think it's short stack one. In SSS you should leave the table after exceding 25BB amount and you have more than 50 here.

As 098799 said, if you play SSS, you should have had left the table. Otherwise you should have re-raised here, and since a normal 3-bet after the coldcaller would committ you to the pot, you go all-in.

Thank you - now the reason I am playing with $4 is that the absolute card rooms min is $4

I had been playing at Full Tilt but losing over $35 on SSS. So I thought I would try another cardroom - same old me, I am STILL losing $17 :(

I have now checked my hand history and to be honest I have been playing the SSS a bit loose. So I have re-read all the lessons and have gone back to FLT to TRY again, playing by the book. Still not sure whether I can beat it though - just played 60 mins for a $2.37 loss.

One quick question - I have AQ/AJ in late pos - 3/4 limpers - instead of raising it up to $0.70/$0.80 - would it not be better to just go ALL IN before the flop, as I wil be commiting a fair amount to the pot anyway.

I find AQ and AJ hard hands to play with anyway.

      Paul

You're not playing according to the strategy - that's probably the reason why you're still on a loosing streak. Simply don't play sss if there's no way to - 40BB is way too much.

Btw: it is possible to push AQ/AJ pf if there're 3-4 limpers, but not with 40bb stack ;) . With 15-17 it's ok.

PokerStrategy is highly recommending not to play on Absolute Poker und Ultimate Bet, since its not secure, after what happens in their history.
