5/10 No-Limit Hold'em (10 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Texas Grabem 1.9 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is BB with A , 9
5 folds, MP3 raises to \$35.00, 2 folds, SB calls \$30.00, Hero raises to \$200 (All-In), MP3 calls \$180.00, SB folds.

when I played the hand I had the read that my opponent in MP3 is a pretty aggressive stealer. afterwards one listener in the coaching told me he had many hands from MP3 only with a 15% ATS. so as played its a fold. however I want to show that this squeeze is often profitable.

MP3: 22+,A8s+,KTs+,ATo+,KJo+
I will treat the SB as dead money. SB will often have a weak hand here. However you should always take a look at his PFR. If he is very passive he can have very good holdings here, too.

EV (100% calling range):

EV(\$) = 0.423*(200+35+10-3) - 0.577*190 = - 7.264

EV (60% calling range):

77+,ATs+,ATo+

EV(\$) = 0.4*(10+35+35) + 0.6[0.324*(200+35+10-3) - 0.676*190] = +2.175

EV (40% calling range):

88+,AJs+,AQo+

EV(\$) = 0.6*(10+35+35) + 0.4[0.314*(200+35+10-3) - 0.686*190] = +26.38

As a result we see that our squeeze gets extremely profitable if we have much fold euqity preflop. A 100% calling range is not very likely. So the other two cases we have a positive EV. Of course our opponent should be an aggressive stealer. Moreover the situation gets even more profitable if we face a CO open raise.

1/2 No-Limit Hold'em (10 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Texas Grabem 1.9 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is CO with 8 , 8 . Hero posts a blind of \$2.00.
6 folds, Hero raises to \$7.00, BU folds, SB raises to \$14.00, BB folds, Hero raises to \$40.00 (All-In), SB calls \$26.00.

Flop: (\$82.00) 2 , K , T
Turn: (\$82.00) T
River: (\$82.00) 3

Final Pot: \$82.00

I want to use this hand to illustrate the use of pot odds together with my equity chart again.
Our raise to stack ratio is 1:4.7 so we need ca. 41% equity (41,7% equity with rake) If I we take a look at the chart we see that SB should at least reraise 99+, AJ+, KQ.
Against SB who is a good TAG from PS.de its therefore an easy call/push. He will definetely raise us loose since we posted in the CO and then make a steal (which is very profitable btw for us)
