Pre Flop: (pot: £0.15) Hero has Q:club: A:spade:

fold, fold, fold, SB raises to £0.40, Hero raises to £1.30, SB calls £0.90

      Flop: (£2.60, 2 players) 5:club: 3:heart: A:heart:
SB checks, Hero bets £1.30, SB calls £1.30

      Turn: (£5.20, 2 players) 2:diamond:
      SB checks, Hero checks

      River: (£5.20, 2 players) 2:spade:
SB bets £1.00, Hero calls £1.00

This hand played out a little weird. As he was a mid stack, I didn't want to bet too much on the flop and commit him (although, to be honest, I would probably have called I suppose). The turn was a bit scary so I checked behind. Could I have bet the turn here, or was a check the best play? Then he donked 1/5 pot on the river which threw me a bit. It smelt like a sucker bet with him holding 4's. Would a raise here have been overplayed? What do you think?

      Thanks

pre flop: any stats/reads why you 3bet?
flop: if you went for value pre flop bet 2/3 flop -> ship turn

I would always 3bet pre here bvb but agree with the 2/3 flop and shove turn to try to get more from FD and Ax. I don't think you should be too worried about 44 cos you can discount it massively cos he shouldn't call pre or on the flop.

as played I think I get it in on the river, I don't think he's ahead often with such a tiny bet and I think you'll get a call from worse As and maybe even some pockets

      Hello Ghartman,

3bet preflop = for value, so ship the turn, easy and simple. :D

      Best Regards.
