      I just wanted to say hello :D

      I'm pretty new to poker, at least I'm new to the idea of playing for money, although I've always been interested in different types of gambling. I would consider myself as an amateur with some knowledge of the game and some of the strategies. Since I've played a lot of blackjack (including cardcounting) I'm not new to the idea of counting odds, although I wouldn't say I'm mastering it the way I want to.

      However, I'm getting more and more drawn into poker, because of the psychological element that blackjack completely misses, for obvious reasons.

      I hope that my presence here at pookerstrategy.com will help me out a lot, because I would really like to become a decent pokerplayer too. :)

      Thank you for your time.

      Hey there... Happy Banana?

      First off, we will talk about the serious stuff. what is that name all about? :coolface:

      Looks like you're quite the Gambler! I've had a go at the Blackjack Card Counting myself, but Its alot of risk for little gain. And I'm too sow do it live :f_biggrin: How did it work out for you?

      Poker is by far the better path to go if you plan on winning at any of the Casino Games ;) You're in the perfect place too, any questions about our Material, gives us a shout and we will be here in a flash!
      "There is no such thing as a stupid question, apart from those that aren't asked"

      Have you taken part in our Quiz for the Free $50? If so, hows it going? Where are you going to play?

      We also have a NL Beginners Course which would be the perfect place for you to begin. You will be guided along the path to success with our Coach "Veriz". @MattDenness

      First, and foremost: The name. Have you ever met an angry banana before? One of those who are hard to peel, and when you're finally done, they turn out to be all brown inside? Nobody likes those. :f_mad:

      About the counting, that's what I figured too, a lot of risk for not that much of a payout. So I did some research, and got stuck at Texas Hold'em. I simply liked every element about it, especially the additional psychology. :)

      Thank you for the support, I have the feeling you really will be there in a flash, and I'll be sure to take your advice for serious ;)

      As for the quiz, I've taken it and passed it the first try (*proud* ;) ). The money is in transfer now. I can't remember the name of the site, but it's your recommended texas hold'em-site, so I'm sure I'll like it. :]

      I'll check out the Beginners course as soon as possible, which I find, when I read your summary of it, covers pretty much everything I have questions about in the basics of tactics, etc.

      Thank you for your time introducing me

      @BObamaJr

      I'm not sure how to interpret your question; Did I make a lot of money, or did I do a lot of counting, so I'll answer both :) I wouldn't say a lot, but some, yeah sure. As for if I counted a lot, I practiced a whole lot, but didn't count at a real table so many times. :) But it's a lot like MattDenness says, it's too big a' risk.

      @fruktpuff

      Tack så mycket för välkomnandet, skönt att veta att det finns åtminstone en lite mer erfaren svensk här på forumet. ;)

      Btw, do you have any advice of what I should learn before trying out my 50$? Any essentials, so to speak? :s_cool:

      Finns fler än en erfaren svensk här ska du se ;)

      Välkommen! :) Du har definitivt hittat rätt.

      Anyway. Refering to your "good to know there's at least one experienced swede here" - and I don't want to say you should hang out there rather than here because this community is truly great - there is a whole swedish community on Pokerstrategy.com :) You'll find articles and videos in swedish (which may be a good supplement once you've gotten through all the english content ;) ) aswell as swedish Support, forums and more :)

      If you need any assistance, or have questions and want them answered in Swedish, you can always catch me on the communitypage :)

      Good luck and much success!

      Tack så mycket! Det verkar onekligen så... ;)

      I had no idea, very useful, thank you for the advice! ^^

      And thank you, luck is always appreciated! I wish you the same, even though they say a good pokerplayer don't need luck to win, and considering your obvious experience, I'd say you're more than a decent player ^^,

      Very best regards,

      Mal.

      I don't eat alot of Bananas so I've never come across an angry one before :D

      I read up on the blackjack Bankroll, and they say you need around 1000Bets, and Minimum is usually $5, so a $5000 Bankroll !! Craaazzzzzzyyyyyyyy :f_o:

      I'm glad to see you passed the Quiz and that you're on the way to that first Million :)
