Poker Stars, $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 7 Players

      MP1: $3.94 (78.8 bb)
      MP2: $1.11 (22.2 bb)
      Hero (MP3): $5 (100 bb)
      CO: $8.06 (161.2 bb)
      BTN: $5.58 (111.6 bb) 14/7/2.0/3.7/24/531
      SB: $5.14 (102.8 bb)
      BB: $5.37 (107.4 bb)

      Preflop: Hero is MP3 with J J
MP1 folds, MP2 calls $0.05, Hero raises to $0.25, CO folds, BTN calls $0.25, 3 folds

      Flop: ($0.62) 9 6 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.45, BTN calls $0.45

I semi-bluff here with an overpair and flushdraw. I figure he'd be on a straight or a flush draw actually more likely a flush draw after he calls.

      Turn: ($1.52) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.30, BTN calls $1.30

Turn I feel doesn't change anything. He would have protected his set on the flop against possible flushes which he didn't so I don't think he has a full house now. If he had an 8 I'm screwed but the flush draws and straight draws are still where they were. So I fire a second barrel. He calls so he is either slowplaying me or on a draw. Slowplaying on such a board would actually be too risky so he might just be drawing.

      River: ($4.12) 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.70, BTN calls $1.70

No draws complete and the river is pretty much a blank. I figure he's stuck with his flush draw and if I make a big bet he'll fold. So I decide to bet small enough to make him call with whatever he had, a busted draw or perhaps a low pair since I still had an overpair. What do you think?

      Results: $7.52 pot ($0.31 rake)
      Final Board: 9 6 8 8 2
      Hero showed J J and won $7.21 ($3.51 net)
BTN mucked 7 7 and lost (-$3.70 net)
