[NL20-NL50] 50NL weird spot with JJ

Villain is 40/30 with AF of 2.5 over 60 hands.

My thought processes were that he was a hit and bet type and he'd probably hit the T. I was okay with calling his donk on flop because I think he doesn't/shouldn't call any raise I make with worse.
The call behind put me in a weird spot and I was now worried about sets.

I ended up calling the turn , and again the guy behind me did.

I put a small value bet on river and then called the shove.

I'm not sure how I played a lot of this hand.

Should I have just raised flop?

      SB: $49.50 (99 bb)
      BB: $50 (100 bb)
      UTG: $51.60 (103.2 bb)

      Hero (CO): $56.80 (113.6 bb)
      BTN: $70.45 (140.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J J
UTG folds, MP calls $0.50, Hero raises to $2, BTN calls $2, 2 folds, MP calls $1.50

      Flop: ($6.75) 3 T 4 (3 players)
MP bets $3, Hero calls $3, BTN calls $3

      Turn: ($15.75) 8 (3 players)
MP bets $5, Hero calls $5, BTN calls $5

      River: ($30.75) 8 (3 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $13.50, BTN calls $13.50, MP raises to $36.70 and is all-in, Hero raises to $46.80 and is all-in, BTN folds

      Hello trickybob,

Flop: Nah, we shouldn't raise the flop cause you are isolating against very strong hands and at the same time make a lot worse hands to fold.
River: Picking a thin value here is fine but I don't really see how we can shove for value, what worse hands do you expect to see. Or what do you think he is even Check/Raising?

      Best Regards.
