Poker Stars, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 4 Players

      SB: $9.99 (99.9 bb) 38/15/2.1/9.1/26/70
      Hero (BB): $10.10 (101 bb) 22/18/2.0/4.5/33
      CO: $10.78 (107.8 bb)
      BTN: $10 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J J
CO raises to $0.30, BTN folds, SB calls $0.25, Hero calls $0.20

      Flop: ($0.90) Q K J (3 players)
SB bets $0.30, Hero raises to $1.76, CO folds, SB calls $1.46

Pot size raise to protect my hand against straight and flush draws. If he 3-Bets should I go ahead and shove? I still have 35% equity against a straight and if he has a higher set then I'm screwed anyway, however I don't expect him to not have 3-Bet preflop with KK,QQ.

      Turn: ($4.42) 8 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $4.22, SB folds

Turn doesn't change anything and I go ahead to protect my hand with a pot size bet.

      Results: $4.42 pot ($0.20 rake)
      Final Board: Q K J 8
SB mucked and lost (-$2.06 net)
      Hero mucked J J and won $4.22 ($2.16 net)

Yeah pretty standard raise on the flop, definitely get all the money in if he comes over the top.

Don't like the betsize on the turn though. He's not calling with worse too often and you're basically committing yourself against better hands - pot will be almost £13 on the river and you will only have $4 left so you can never get away there really. I would either just ship the turn and hope he calls with 2pair/draws or bet it a bit smaller: $2.75-$3.00 or so and hope he looks you up. He never has much better than 3:1 odds there anyway so he's still making a mistake by calling.

      Hello maheepsangari,

I would definitely raise the flop as well while it's super-drawy. Although I would bet a bit smaller on the turn and still give him room for hero-calls. :) We will be able to ship the river anyways no matter what and whatever he calls with and if he just has a draw he is making a mistake. I would bet ~$3.

      Best Regards.
