Yesterday I noticed that Party change their Partypoint system but I didn't do the calculation is it better or worse for us the players. They introduced the weekly goals based on points generated in last 10 weeks and various multipliers.I think that's OK for regular players who play approximately same amount of hands over week but those who play from time to time will have problems at least i think. Additional feedback would be welcome.

Yeah I noticed this also, some crazy "in between" VIP levels like King level 4 (me) and "loyalty" "reward" points. Meh it seems good enough.

My multiplier or smth jumped from 2 to 2.6 tanks to the new system and on Sunday I had about 1100 partypoints to reach King level yesterday it had lowered to 760.

I noticed that partypoints are not renewed live. When will they be updated then, next week?

I take my good words back and agree with SonicXT. It sucks, sucks balls. If I understanded the system right then you will get partypoints only if you achieve some plan or you get half of those points if you achieve half of "that plan."

      Like damn communistic command economy.

I like this much as not getting the PT licence :D

They could have explained the system better as it took almost 15 mins to look at how it works.

So you get the points in the next weeks if you reach the level or the halfway mark... And if you don't make atleast one point a week, they take your points away all the way down to having earn one point to regain your current level.

As far as I know, yes.
This is Party's way to accomodate those professional Party grinders after their inexcusable mistake of punishing them with the VIP rakefree days promotion. Now they punish almost everyone else, besides those playing on a very regular basis. It's appealing to those committed to Party, but a complicated system leaves more room for the casino to tweak the rules in their favor without it being noticed by the great majority of players.

So, when I start again in july, I'll play my 6 rakefree days and move away from Party indefinitely. This isn't favorable and even for a casino too unethical ... amateuristic even.

i don't get this weekly goal thing. they sad its based on historical play during past 10 weeks so theoretically if i reach my weekly goal every week it will become higher and higher until at some I point I couldn't reach it anymore, right?

eeexactly (well, unless you move up in limits, or never exceed your weekly goal, in which case it'll stay the same). we just got screwed on every level imo.
      gonna complain now

It seems they're already getting a lot of complaints about it. :D

As there have been some technical problems here at PS with the StrategyPoints, with points missing for April 28th and 29th, I mailed Party's support to simply ask how many PPs I made in this time span as the new system doesn't show you anymore how many you made the previous days.

I got a rather apologetic reply:
We appologize for the difficulties experienced after launching our new PartyPoints Programme but they will be resolved as quickly as possible.

The changes will be periodically reviewed in order to ensure that we’re giving you the best product possible. We’ll keep you informed of any further changes.

We’re also sure that as you continue playing you’ll realize that this program really does reward players for their consistent play.

I'm not really that concerned about further Loyalty Points and what not, all I'm after are normal, standard PartyPoints to clear up my $100 bonus.

Let's hope that swiss and other high volume players get them to revise their system, as I don't really like it that much either.

Hell yeah, what happens to Strategy Points now? I may play for 200SP but get only 100SP in week, how are gonna they resolve that.

Our administration team is already talking to PartyPoker about changing the new system because a lot of our players are unhappy about it. I will update you once I know more.

      Best regards,

Is PokerStrategy already such a powerhouse that it can influence PartyPoker like this? :O

      NO.

Did you guys even read the rules or are you just to busy complaining? :)
PartyPoints (PP) do not go waste. PP are collected for Loyalty Multiplier (Queen 1, Queen 2, ...).
For weekly goal you collect Reward Points from PP.

      New formula:

(Collected Reward points + Weekly goal) x Loyalty Multiplier = Your Party Points (new name Reward points).

So, this time when you are collecting PP they go to weekly goal AND for Loyalty Multiplier. Your points are "not updated" because you have (not) reached weekly (half way) goal or you are many PP from new loyalty multiplier.

BTW You get even more points this way than from previous system.

PS I'm not saying that this system is good or whatever. Next time just read the rules (twice, three times until you understand).

PS2 Weekly goal isn't updated... I guess this is too much to handle for PartyPoker.

The new system is good if you play more sites than just party, then you just reach your weekly goal then go play somewhere else. The good thing i like now is that when you move up to higher multipliers it applies to all previously earned points so in essence you don't really ever want to cash in your points until you reach the highest multiplier.

Your points don't go to waste but essentially to get your reward points you have to earn them twice. As if you earn more than your weekly goal one week the next week it will be slightly higher average of the 10 weeks. So essentially you have to play continously.

Overall if you play everyday and perhaps an Ace or lower on the old system it is beneficial if you are just an occasional player then it's not. Although i guess most people biggest problem is the fact that the system is so rigid and forces you to play at least a certain amount each week.

You'd be surprised ;) There are a LOT of PS players, especially the "old" ones who all play at mid-high stakes, since the only option before titan and the other rooms came (mid-2007 I think) was party. So basically, PS = $$$$ for them. Actually, make that $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ :D

It's finally been updated for this week!

Unfortunately my weekly goal only increased by 10 (from 27 to 37) even though I got 125 PartyPoints last week (5x my goal)... sucks being a new member :(

That's my biggest issue and the reason I did not feel like examining the new system any further, as this alone will render the new system detrimental to my rakeback as I, despite beying loyal and playing a lot, have to take 2 month breaks before and during each exam period at university.
I don't think this system is good for any student.
