I originally bet here to isolate the fish who keeps open limping most of his hands regardless how bad they are and usually will call with weak hands. The people behind me were mostly rocks and/or terrible. The isolation apparently didn't work very well.

Looking at it I think I should have seen that their calling range was quite tight (button in particular was very rocky) and I probably should have check/folded the turn here.

      Hello Knyght,

Well, if you do bet the turn then it means you Bet it for value and protection from FD. He could easily even ship maybe with FD, never know or worse Ax hands. Therefore you have to Call also down for the given odds.

      Best Regards.

I had a feeling that might be the case. turns out he had a set of 8s. I assume that isn't something I could really have accounted for..?

Well, why do you Bet the turn in first place after him even raising the flop? Then rather get it in on the flop if you playing like that.

Well, I bet the turn for value and to protect from the FD.

But thanks. It's good to be pointed at the right things to look at so I can analyse my plays more effectively :D
