lockdown

      Thinking of having a poker lockdown for 1-4 days what nd how much should i stock up on.

      Think i'll leave the redbull out of it till i really have to.

      my preferences would be not 100% junk food, some super quick and easy healthy food would be the best

      this is for 4 days so please include quantities thanks in advance!

      wow sick, erm I generally do all the red bull stuff but it usually really messes you up.

      Thoughts on hiring a chef for like 1-3 hours per day? Could be super +ev and means you don't spend energy on cooking and have good food meaning morale is high!

      Hi Jam,

      I would suggest to consume high protein foods. Go for chicken with rice, its delicious and healthy. Or lentils stew with beef.

      I would skip all the fruit juices (even if its freshly squeezed) because it will just drive your blood pressure up and down from all the sugar which is in it. Go for water with freshly squeezed lemon, make a huge bottle and put it in a fridge to cool down. It'll give you some energy.

      Evenings, you can eat all sorts of salads, like mozarella with tomatoes (olive oil and vinegar glaze on top) or oven bakes cheese sandwich with cucumbers etc..

      Chicken:
      - 3-5 chicken breast
      - buy those instant rice package (4 in each) and just boil one for each menu
      - spice it up with salt/pepper and some roast chicken spices

      Beef:
      - you can get lentils in a can (with water only) or can buy raw lentils and soak them in water overnight which is healthier but I suppose you don't have time for such
      - 1/2 kg beef (for stew cut up already)
      - grill the beef for about 2 minutes each side in a pan, add salt and pepper (pressed garlic if you like it) then mix it with lentils and stir it for another 5 minutes and voila you're ready

      Lemonade
      (no sugar)
      - cold water
      - squeeze 1-2 lemon and mix it

      After a long session if you have trouble to fall asleep just make Camilla tea (about 5 min work) and you will insta fall asleep.
      - boil 3dl water
      - soak tea bag for 2 min
      - ready to drink (no sugar)

      for snacks you can get grapefruits, full of with C-vitamin and it'll wake you up a bit.

      You could cook some meals yourself and freeze them before.
      During the lockdown when you are hungry open the freezer and choose from a selection of delicious home made meals :)

      No junk food, quick and healthy stuff!

      I was going to make a big reply but it completely contrasts Ingrids!

      It consisted of steak steak steak steak a whole bunch of double stacked oreos and some Dr.Pepper.

      The only healthy thing was kippers for breakfast! but they are a bit smelly

      I just want to wish you good luck! I would suck giving advice about food!

      My day would be like:
      Eggs in the morning 4 days long
      Bread at lunch
      Chili con carne 4 days! I love chili :f_biggrin:

      But do drink enough water! Thats soo important. I tend to not drink enough during the day when I'm inside. But at the end of the day I always have a huge headache then. So water water water. And an empty bottle! :f_biggrin:

      Great advice so far guys my plan is generally evolving into cooking 1or2 whole chickens and a large gammon or beef and using that meat for the next 4 days

      microwavable rice x4
      microwaveable veg mix x4
      chicken gravy

      2x Bread (for sandwiches obvs)
      1x jam
      1x milk
      2x crunchy nut cornflakes

      4x bags of grated mature chedder
      1x lettuce
      2x cucumber
      2x red pepper (if i cut them beforehand and sealed them in 4 seperate bags will they last? mix of cut cucumber pepper and lettuce that is..)
      4x small bag of pistachio nuts
      4x small bag of cashew nuts
      8x yoghurt

      4x 1.5l lemon water
      4x 500ml water

      For emergancies only (when the action is too goot to leave)
      8x snickers
      2x pringles
      4x redbull

      While in lockdown i dont wnna washup but ill be using 8x plate 4x bowl 4x spoon 4x knife and 4x fork

      guess i'll get a cleaner in for day 2 and day 4

      Ingrid what is this magic potion u speak of thatll make it easier to fall asleep i cant find anything of it on the net

      what is 3dl of water
      and what type of teabag do i need

      basically it should look like this:









      Camomile is just known to make you sleepy, relaxed. Just boil a cup of tea amount of water, once its boiling, put the tea bag in the water and let it soak for 2 min then take it out, pour your tea into a mug and drink it slowly while its warm :)

      drinking water is also very important because if you don't then your body gets false signals thinking it's hungry again, which is not true. At those times, you can just drink a glass of water and wait 10 min and you wont be hungry anymore. Basically you should drink 2 glasses of water in every hour, problem is you'll be stuck peeing in the toilet :D
