How bwin scammed me.

      The other day I asked bwin customer support if it is possible to change my
      currency to euros. My account still showed estonian crowns (EEK), but Estonia has joined euro-zone for over a year ago.

      This is the reply from bwin customer support:

      Dear Mr xxx, Thank you for your e-mail. We are glad to inform you that in your case a currency change is possible. To be able to change your currency, we invite you to open a new account with a new username and simply select the currency of your choice. Your old account has already been blocked. Once you have opened your new account, please contact us again including your old and new user ID. Thank you for your cooperation. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further queries. Kind regards, Your bwin customer service team


      So I opened a new account, mailed them my user ID as they requested, but by now, they have not transferred any of my funds, placed bets, bonuses, withdrawals (I had one pending withdrawal on my old account) to my new account. Absolutely nothing. My old account is also blocked by them. I have sent to bwin a number of e-mails about the issue but their customer support is completely silent.

      Any advice, what should I do now?

      How long have you been waiting? As they may take a few days to sort this out, and with it being Easter, even longer.

      I have waited a bit more than 24 hours. I just can't understand why the customer support did not explain to me that such an issue might take a couple of days to resolve. I would have been perfectly okay with my account still showing estonian crowns. Instead they just blocked my old account.
      To my knowledge the Easter holidays are On the next Friday.

      Oh yes, I thought it was Easter this week, Brain-freeze!

      Maybe it just takes 3-4 working days, in which weekends would not count.

      Any progress so far?

      Have you tried to phone them? They may be able to speed things up, or at least give you an a progress report and give some indication of whats going on.

      I had an account change for currency with william hill and they kinda went ahead without warning me either but at least they managed it quicker hmmm

      hopefully it gets solved for you, im sure it will

      My english is not that good to explain myself correctly on the phone, no speaking practice. Day 4 now and still nothing. Im considering writing a crime application to the police.

      Slow, yes. Incompetant, probably. Criminal or scammers, no.

      Poker rooms generally have shocking customer service - I'm sure you're money will arrive in a few days.

      It is day 5 now, and guess what, there's still no progress whatsoever. Wrote an application to the police to start investigation.This probably won't help me to get my bankroll back, but at least they can ban bwin in Estonia. Biggest online bookmakers in Europe, my ass. More like biggest fucking scammers in Europe. Hope they get shut down.

      They don't work on holidays
