      UTG+1: $70.01 (140 bb)
      UTG+2: $89.22 (178.4 bb)
      MP1: $20.76 (41.5 bb)
      MP2: $84.53 (169.1 bb)
      Hero (MP3): $132.58 (265.2 bb)
      CO: $49.27 (98.5 bb)
      BTN: $78.52 (157 bb)
      SB: $50.25 (100.5 bb)
      BB: $22 (44 bb)

      Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 2 2
      2 folds, MP1 calls $0.50, MP2 folds, Hero raises to $1.75, CO folds, BTN calls $1.75, 2 folds, MP1 calls $1.25

      Flop: ($6) A 2 J (3 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets $4, BTN calls $4, MP1 folds

      Turn: ($14) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $9, BTN raises to $20, Hero calls $11

      River: ($54) A (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $30, Hero folds

Villain is rather fishy and kind of passive. stats=29/10/2.3 AF=2.4
I could also put him on JJ since he probably won't 3bet that hand preflop with his 2.3 3bet. Should I take my chances and shove on the turn? Don't think he would call the flop with 33. Once the ace lands on the river I think the check-fold is pretty standard. Why would he raise me on the turn without at least 2 pair with an ace?

After I folded he claimed he had A9...... A9 of hearts could raise the turn? At that point If I am not bluffing I have A9 beat and not folding to a raise...
If he really had A9 then I really don't understand how these guys think.

      Hello circoflax,

Well, even if you continue on the turn then how can you Call there? You are just giving away free cards. 3b it in on the turn! He may easily even have there some 2pair type of hands and maybe even A:hX or whatsoever.

Why shouldn't he be raising? He practically made a min-raise there and is just building up the pot while being a bit deeper and IP. :)

      Best Regards.
