my local pool club has a monthly poker tourney. usually around 40 runners.
loads of bad plays.(- limp/fold utg 4bb). limp/calling ai KTo 20bb
start w/ 10k blinds of 25/50. no antes, blinds DOUBLE every 15 min
so it gets short quick. theres 1rebuy/addon which most ppl take
ran good 1st time i played and still only got to last 2 tables.
how do you play? just pushbot?
do you try to play more postflop? even when its short or do you just look for spots to 3bs pre?
people always say "go big or go bust" in these fishy tourneys, so what do you do??? bluff alot?? play draws really aggro?? bluff shove vs tight ppl?

Play it for value. Try to see flops as long as your stack is >20BB with drawing hands like suited conectors, pocket pairs etc. If you hit let them pay. If you don't hit place your continuation bet and give up afterwards.
Don't bluff to much since this shouldn't be necessary. 3bet shove preflop if you are short. Range depends on your opponent.
Overall you should play a solid style and it should be awarded in a very weak player field.
