Seems kind of standard but this guy was quite nitty. I think he is capable of flatting JJ+ here. Not sure if we can expect him to overplay AJ as well?

I had a sick feeling when he 4b so small on the flop. My brother was watching at the time and I even tanked and said he had 99 but couldn't fold.

I'm not into making hero folds with sets though :(

      Hello muel294,

Well, first of all you should make a normal CB on the flop. What's the purpose of the 1/2 bet size there?

Otherwise I might even fold to the 4bet, especially when he is passive and such a nit. Do you think he is even playing J9 this way? If he even had J9 or whatsoever I would most of the time him 4betting like a normal player and protect his hand.

      Best Regards.

would you make it more like 2/3. I usually make it 1/2 pot on dry baords where I don't feel protection is as important, but are we more inclined to make it bigger just to have our opponent pot committed by the river?

You are planning to play for the stacks, so bet it bigger. If he has a hand he is 99% of the time calling you, with any draw and even GS. 1% is the time when he times out. :D
