      Poker Stars $25.00 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players

      SB: $33.04 - VPIP: 8, PFR: 8, 3B: 0, AF: 0.0, Hands: 24
      BB: $11.35 - VPIP: 28, PFR: 11, 3B: 0, AF: 1.0, Hands: 47
      UTG: $4.78 - VPIP: 20, PFR: 11, 3B: 0, AF: 3.7, Hands: 55
      Hero (MP): $25.00 -
      CO: $25.00 - VPIP: 32, PFR: 18, 3B: 0, AF: 0.7, Hands: 22
      BTN: $22.70 - VPIP: 27, PFR: 15, 3B: 10, AF: 3.8, Hands: 55

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is MP with J :diamond: J :club:
1 fold, Hero raises to $1.10, CO calls $1.10, 2 folds, BB calls $0.85

      Flop: ($3.40) 7 :diamond: 8 :club: 7 :club: (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $2.40, CO calls $2.40, BB folds

      Turn: ($8.20) K  (2 players)
Hero bets $5.30, CO calls $5.30

      River: ($18.80) K :diamond: (2 players)
Hero bets $7.40, CO raises to $16.20, Hero calls $8.80

On the river I tried to get small enough to give villain the chance to raise bluff his missed draws and big enough to get value from his 88-JJ. I now think I should've bet smaller ~ 5 to keep in his very worse range (Ax) and to offer more apparent fold equity.

      Agree with the play ?

Opponent never bet or raised in his life until he made a river raise and you are saying you induced a bluff after you raise pre, bet flop, bet turn and bet river? :D Fat chance of that!

Again, river is a bet/fold imo. You have to chose your sizing as big as you think he can call with 8x, 99, maaaybe TT because those are the only hands you get value from. If you don't have showdowns with the guy and you think will often meet him at the tables I don't mind a check since the value is very thin and knowing his range will get you more in the long run.

Well that AF is of no use, prolly didn't have that atm of the hand. like the idea of checking for info vs a guy I meet often :f_grin: .

Just hope you got it's a thing where value is so thin you are not sure there's an actual +EV bet there. It's not like you'll check the 2nd nuts. :D

      Hello DeMarcohsp,

With your Bet on the river I doubt ever that he would be raising for fold equity. :( Cause practically you are committed there. Therefore if you think he is capable of bluffing then why not just Check/Call? So rather Bet/Fold it than Call it off vs unknown.

      Best Regards.
