Villain is 20/10/3.3 over 74 hands, AF=3.3 and never folded on the flop yet.
I bet the flop because of the two hearts and connected cards and when he called I couldn't just give him A  . I really thought he would call me with hearts, so I was sick to see that turn and decided to check behind. River fold is pretty standard I think.

What do you think, do I always need to bet the turn in this case? What do I do if he raises big and I don't have the odds to see the board pair? What if he does this check raising with a lower set and gets me off the best hand? I hate this spot when you can only give him one draw to call with and it comes in just like that.

      Hi,

He doesn´t always have there flushdraws if he is c/c flop and heart comes on the turn. I think he may easily have there Ax hands, sometimes 44/22 and if he slowplayed pf JJ-KK I think he would also c/c at least once.

So I would bet there always both for protection and value, not sure I would always shove on blank river card, although if you don´t get c/r on the turn you´re likely always ahead and therefor should shove on blank rivers.

Since my betsize on the turn would be 15-17$ I am pot committed to the pot and therefor can´t really b/f any more, so I am fine getting there all-in if player wants.

River fold is likely fine, although I think he would sometimes turn some Ax hands without heart into bluff, although that is so few times that you likely don´t have to herocall with set.

      Best regards,
