I dont see a lot of reason in his action.

I did not call because I was afraid of set.
Since he has only half of usual stack he could be on tilt. Some players would tilt this and just pushed with Ax (not paired). Also with KK. But generaly all i was beating was a bluff.
I just did not see me be ahead in most cases here.

But still folding top pair top kicker here was a little pain. Was my fold a bad choise?

      Hello arky,

Welcome to the English NL Hand Evaluation Forum! Hopefully we will see more hands from you in the future. I hope that with our help you can improve your play and as well move up the limits. We will be waiting for the next hands and till that good luck on tables!

If you have trouble converting hands take a look here: link.

About the hand I would snap-call vs his stack. He may easily have worse Ax hands there and he is never shoving like that with sets, not sure if he would even do that with 2pairs.

      Best Regards.

Can you give some info on villain? He looks like "touristy want to spend 5 dollars" type of guy. How much hands he played and did he do any "out of line" things?

If he is a good player and flopped set/two pairs, he wouldnt play it like that.
