Hi! My name is Incze Zoltan and I am a 19 years old “Computer engineering” student in Romania. I started playing poker in 2010 July, and since then I’ve managed to win a decent amount of money. I started this blog, because I realised that I am not that good and I have a bunch of mistakes, both strategical and psychological. And this way I can keep track of my improvement, goals and objectives.

I’ve played both MTTs and Cash, now I would like to concentrate on cash games, because of my University programme I don’t have much time, or I have 2 hour brakes, which I use for playing poker in the library . :)

My poker career(shortly): I lost the 50$ starting capital pretty fast, but I didn’t give up I started playing freerolls; after I won some money I played mostly SnGs, then NL2-NL10 until I reached 600$ BR. Then I moved to Pokerstars and I managed to get my BR up to over 1k, playing NL50 HU(which was a stupid mistake). I started playing MTTs and in 2011 September when the University started I had 4,5k winnings. The Uni is not easy, so I had trouble managing my time, at the beginning of 2012 I had the same BR as in September. I realised, that I can’t continue like this, so I got motivated, I analized my game and payed much more attention during sessions. I managed to get to 6,35k winnings.

Now my main goal is to improve my game. My actual BR is 2000$. I cashed out, because, since my father lost he’s job and because of Uni I am not living home, I have to pay my rent and the other expenses. I also save money for a car, which I plan to buy this summer.

Here are some graphs of my cash journey: NL25 on Pokerstars and NL10 on 888.

First i will only add three objectives, but i will add more later:

:diamond: 3 hours of poker daily
:diamond: 1 hour of studying daily
      :diamond: workout every day

I am going to play NL25FR Zoom on Pokerstars and post intresting hands and graphs. I hope writing here will keep me motivated and will improve my game a lot. Good luck to everybody at the tables and in life, please comment and write suggestion, i will appreciate it! :s_biggrin:

      This is the first update:

Well, I did not have time to play the 3 hours a day, because I had to help my dance teacher with he's final exam. The graph is for only 4 hours. First change in the objectives is that starting from May i will play 3 hours a day on average, same with studying.

I'm down 8BIs on then last 8k hands, so I think I'm going to play NL10 on 888 for a while, rebuild, than play again NL25 when I feel ready. I felt that I couldn't focus at the tables, played badly, also got a little bit unlucky.

I hope my next update will contain good news :)

very interesting blog, I will follow it for sure :)

I am playing on 888poker too, NL6 at the moment, but hoping to move up to NL10 as soon as I can afford to (25BI at least). and as I can see you beat it quite hard :s_grin: so I guess I could learn alot from you!

      good luck mate :)

thank you, good luck to you to! Try to reach NL10 as fast as possible because it's very easy to beat, as I experienced it's the easiest platform. ;)

My opponent was a fishy player/ I saw him before limp/call AA PF. I had 30 hands on him 37 VPIP and 0 PFR.
First, it would have been better a bigger raise on the turn against flush draws.
I think it would have been really bad to call he's huge bet on the river, mostly he will show up with sets, or double pair, like AJ. On the other hand when he had AA he made a set and raised it all-in on the river, so I guess he had a strong hand here. Please add comments to the hand.

maybe not AA but I think he had a naked A beat for sure, he will have at least AJ in this spot and any pocket pair that hit a set. so you made the right fold I think

i feel that most often he doesn't know how to c/r for value on previous streets and bets strongly on river to avoid having you check behind :D (aka "he has you beat")

Ok, so this hand was very badly played i think. I will describe my tought process.

CO: is a weaker regular, who tilts sometimes
      UTG: fishy player

Pre-Flop:I thought it's ok if I only call, I did not wanted a big pot PF w/ AK
Flop: When both checked, I made a little bet, because I was thinking that none of them has an Ace, so they will muck their hands.
Turn: On the turn after I ogt called by both, I decided not to raise because the CO could have a stronger hand.
River: When the player sitting in CO only called, I thougth he has AQ/AJ, so I decided to make a little raise, and called he's shove despite I realised that i can't beat him.

I'm filling stupid for how I played this hand, but the rest of the session went well. Please comment it!

No intresting hands since this last one. Today I deposited 500$ on Pokerstars to receive the new reload bonus and played 5,4k hands NL10 and NL25. NL10 went well, but NL25 not. Now that I received the bonus I'm going to play on Stars.
Since I opened the blog I managed to play more/ improve game by studying/ and workout. I learned that these three objectives are enough for a while. I believe, that if I add objectives and goals step by step, having more time to get used to them, staying motivated will be easier.
I decided that I will post graphs and make summaries on Sundays. Good luck at the tables :s_biggrin: :s_biggrin:

Very sick day, I lost almost 5BI at NL25 3300 hands.
I calculated and I'm break even since I started my blog. That's not good, but it's ok.

It's Sunday, so before I go out with my friends I will post an update with the graph since I started my blog. :s_biggrin:

      NL2,10,25(14k hands) on PokerStars:

Well, even if the results aren't that good I still feel that I progressed a lot in improvement. I'm actually up, because I got 40$ bonus on Stars+ 15$ on 888 playing NL10. :s_biggrin:

Starting BR was: 2000, current BR ~ 2030$

I did not post updates because I did not know how to review marked hands in pt4. I found it now, so I'm gonna post hands after I search for the most intresting ones.
Last 7 days were good, didn't manage to study that much, but played a lot.

      Pokerstars NL2-25:

Got some bonuses to, so new BR: 2260$

I was at the used cars market today, and now I have a goal: I want to make money for a car. :s_biggrin: :s_biggrin:
