      Another fine mess....

Pre: Villains ATS was not that high 22% (5/23) If I decide to play 3b/fold then I turn my hand into a complete bluff. I can only assume villain never calls with a worse hand if I do 3b, given his LP stats and narrow opening range. (14% from the BU)

However, I still think that I am ahead of a portion of villains BU OR range, namely JT-KJ.

Flop: So I can either c/f or c/rai IMO. I am not getting the correct expressed odds to c/c and cannot accurately assess my implied odds, since villain can have bluffs and semi-bluffs that give up on the turn and or river.

By check raising I felt that I can get some better hands to fold, maybe 77-99, TX ( I doubt QQ+) would fold IP. I might also see a check behind on Turns and Rivers. However as you can see I do actually have some reverse implied odds to worry about, had an ace hit on the turn or river it would have given my opponent the best hand, especially if he holds TT+

As a result I think c/f is the best option here.

      Hello muel294,

Preflop: What are the stats? :D What's fold to 3bet? I might even prefer just to 3bet and avoid the BB also joining the pot or squeezing.

      As played
Postflop: I would rather donk out here which most likely would gain the same fold equity, they are rarely folding any overpair/TP or whatsoever hand. Not that Check/Raise is wrong but then we totally turning our hand into bluff cause it's a Check/Raise/Fold.

      Best Regards.

fold to 3b was 100% 2/2. But aren't we just turning our hand into a bluff by 3 betting here?

Yes, but neither we don't want to play the hand in multiway pot nor OOP or get squeezed. :)

ahh okay thanks guys. I guess if I lead the flop in a 3b pot here I am okay to play bet/3b broke.

Also another advantage of 3betting here is that it widens our 3betting range and makes us harder to play against I guess.
