EP was raising wide with short stack but his fold to 3bet was 80% so decided to try and take it down but got called by villain

      VPIP 40/ PFR 25/ AF 1.8/ F2Cbet3bpot 25%/ WTSD 38.2/ W$SD 38/ Hands 382

I decided to bet for value on flop as well as protection, bet again on turn for value from his Kx hands and protect against draws but on the should I have bet fold? I didnt bet because I knew I would have to fold to a raise and I didnt like the thought of putting in another $10-$13 to just throw it away if he had made the flush on the turn. Too catious?

      Hello Rastlin1,

Most likely I would just shove the river while he could easily have a lot of Kx hands and maybe even worse which are capable of calling.

      Best Regards.

But I 3 bet the short stack, not the deep stack. Would you still raise bigger just on the fact that I am deep? If so what the value of doing it?

Oh sorry, usually it's the case that it bolds the player who you are playing against. :D Thought somehow it's him. :D Nah it's fine.

      Hey man,

I think you can consider overbets in this spot...

      1) deep
      2) he's station
      3) a lot of draws

He will more likely shove his draws OTT when you overbet ;)

Why should we over-bet when we are getting his stack anyways by the river? What's the difference if you get some dollars more from him if you usually plan to ship such a river spot anyways?
