My image: I have 3bet twice in 50 hands from the blinds at the table and overall have a somewhat active image.

Once again I make a play that looks spewy. But my thought process until the turn, at least, is like this –

Preflop: I can't fold this hand because his range is very wide. I do not like 3betting because I already have 3bet from the blinds twice recently (might not be enough to be a good argument, though) so I thought it would be better to mix it up, so I call.

Flop: I call, knowing that I am not merely calling in hopes for a hit since that is not profitable OOP in this spot. That means I am prepared to check/raise suitable flops. This flop gives me 2 overcards (some outs to be discounted) + a backdoor nutflushdraw. I see it as a good opportunity so I check-raise.

Turn: Should probably be a fold since his flop calling range mostly consists of 8x and overpairs.

River: as played, I felt that I can force him to fold a pair since my play looks very strong and I would expect him to raise on the turn at the latest with a monster.

      Hello Avatars91,

Without the extra equity on the turn I would most likely just Check/Fold it. If there would be any on turn then I'd 2nd barrel. But if you go for 2nd barrel then I'd also ship the river unless you have some crazy maniac image but then might be even safer not to 2nd barrel at all.

      Best Regards.
