On Game, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 9 Players

      BB: $57.46 (114.9 bb)
      UTG+1: $68.30 (136.6 bb)
      UTG+2: $53.91 (107.8 bb)
      MP1: $50 (100 bb)
      MP2: $54.49 (109 bb)
      MP3: $65.40 (130.8 bb)
      CO: $76.99 (154 bb)
      Hero (BTN): $55.42 (110.8 bb)
      SB: $51.26 (102.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with T J
      UTG+1 raises to $1.50, 3 folds, MP3 calls $1.50, CO calls $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, 2 folds

      Flop: ($6.75) 2 2 J (4 players)
UTG+1 checks, MP3 checks, CO checks, Hero bets $4.50, UTG+1 raises to $14, 3 folds

Villain is pretty laggy 24/15/9.2, AF 3.2, check-raise flop 50% but just 2 samples, 232 hands total. I have to bet my top pair here and expect to take it down most of the time. The problem is I have an agg image and he may have interpreted my bet as "let's steal this one on dry flop". I can't just call and hope no A, no K, no Q. What do I do if he bets the turn on blank? On the other hand, if I raise him on the flop I'm commited.

I know my bet was too large, I realized it as I clicked, OMG this is too big, half pot would have been much better. But as played, can I give him AA-JJ and fold 100% of the time?

      Hello circoflax,

Most likely I'd go for a bit as $3,50 or something similar. They have tough time to continue with a lot worse but otherwise seems to be fine, most likely was just trapping.

      Best Regards.
