On Game, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 7 Players

      SB: $51.47 (102.9 bb)
      BB: $49 (98 bb)
      MP1: $17.50 (35 bb)
      MP2: $72.31 (144.6 bb)
      MP3: $49.50 (99 bb)
      Hero (CO): $49.25 (98.5 bb)
      BTN: $31.59 (63.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q A
3 folds, Hero raises to $1.50, BTN calls $1.50, SB calls $1.25, BB folds

      Flop: ($5) 2 2 J (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3, BTN folds, SB raises to $8, Hero raises to $29, SB raises to $49.97 and is all-in, Hero calls $18.75 and is all-in

Villain is decent reg, 20/14/4.4 AF=1.9 RaiseCBetOnFlop=17%. Hard to give him a 2, maybe A2s. Even harder to consider JJ, I think he would 3bet that against my LP open. So why the hell is he taking this line? Is this overplay given the paired board?

      Hello circoflax,

I wouldn't exclude JJ from his range there but most likely he doesn't have that many 2x hands in his range. But most likely if we also expect him to even raise maybe worse FD/Jx hands there and maybe even bluffs I would play the same way. Our equity vs such a range should be decent.

      Best Regards.
