Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BB with 4 :spade: J
3 folds, BTN calls $0.10, 1 fold, Hero checks

      Flop: ($0.25) J :diamond: 2  9 :diamond: (2 players)

      River: ($1.95) 3 :club: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.40, Hero calls $0.40

The problem for me is river – is it a borderline call? Would he not check back most of his hands that I beat?

      Hi,

I think that your turn bet is quite thin. He would likely call with worse hands, but middle pair, without no kicker I would try to get my hand to showdown.
River is easy c/c consider his bet size. If he made it 1.4$ I would likely have folded.

Would he not check back most of his hands that I beat?
      - he would check back showdown value hands, like 98, 66. If he has some missed flushdraw (5d6d) he may easily try to make some kind of bluff on the river

      best regards,
