      Hello maheepsangari,

Preflop: Not sure if it's a really good idea to go for the thin value-bet in first place. He isn't going to fold anyways any hands and we will have tough time postflop.

      As played
Postflop: While he is passive I'd rather turn my hand into bluff-catcher and reevaluate the actions vs his play than CB cause he has a lot of Ax hands in his range and neither I doubt that we can't really do that profitable the 2nd barrel when we get called.

That's another reason why we shouldn't going for such thin values. :(

      Best Regards.

Ok, I do this a lot, pop a 3-Bet with small pocket-pairs to resteal when BU or CO opens, should I avoid doing this? Or should I 3-Bet higher like $3?

Well, unless you are doing it for value vs mid-stack loose player I wouldn't really do it. Rather just play postflop. Especially when you even getting very good odds.
