I wanted to x/r the flop, should have just bet right into it?

Decided to push the river as he seems like a huge station, under what circumstances should I make it smaller; If he is very tight?

      MP: $18.26 (114.1 bb)
      CO: $27.10 (169.4 bb)
      BTN: $17.51 (109.4 bb)
      SB: $16.67 (104.2 bb)
      Hero (BB): $16.74 (104.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with T J
UTG raises to $0.32, MP folds, CO calls $0.32, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.16

      Flop: ($1.04) 7 9 6 (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, CO checks

      Turn: ($1.04) K (3 players)
Hero bets $0.69, UTG calls $0.69, CO folds

      River: ($2.42) 8 (2 players)

      Hello MattDenness,

Guess both ways are fine, most likely I'd lead myself on such a flop cause we will rarely see CBs on such a board anyways with just overcards. But otherwise seems like a nice hand. :)

      Best Regards.
