Against a unknow i do a 3bet pre-flop (about 0,36/0,38) because i don't like to do a flat call when i am out of position. As played, on the flop the 3bet is nice because the flop is favorable for a continuation bet and villain can bet with all his range, but when villain call my 3bet i do check/fold to turn. (Sorry for my bad english.)

      Hello inlovewithamsterdam,

Preflop: Most likely I'd also rather prefer 3betting vs unknown while we don't know how he plays postflop. But neither ain't flatting wrong if you think you have an edge there.

      As played
Postflop: His range hardly contains those draw type of hands and maybe even PPs with the FD which most likely will continue on the turn. Therefore without having the A not the greatest spot to 2nd barrel but rather give it up without any information on the guy.

      Best Regards.
