      SB posts SB $0.10, Hero posts BB $0.25

      Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has 3:club: 3:heart:

      UTG raises to $0.50, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls $0.25

      Flop: ($1.10, 2 players) 8:heart: 5:diamond: 3:spade:
      Hero checks, UTG bets $1.00, Hero calls $1.00

      Turn: ($3.10, 2 players) A:club:
      Hero checks, UTG bets $1.25, Hero calls $1.25

      River: ($5.60, 2 players) K:heart:
      Hero checks, UTG bets $5.00, Hero calls $5.00

      My thinking here is simply: if I raise, my hand will be face-up. On the turn, I thought there is more value in letting an ace have the initiative.

      On the river, his big bet seems really strong and I'm thinking AK might call a shove - and even then not necessarily - but any other set has me dead, so I just call.

      I like my play here, but wanted to confirm. What are your thoughts?

      Hello awishformore,

      Kind of close on the river either to ship it for value or not. I still would assume he is capable of having even AK type of hands which definitely are calling you down. But at the same time I guess I'd also Call for the note taking with what he Bets like that on the turn/river.

      Best Regards.

      Looks like just calling on the river is correct

      equity win tie pots won pots tied
      Hand 0: 33.862% 33.41% 00.46% 25169010 343357.00 { 3c3h }
      Hand 1: 66.138% 65.68% 00.46% 49485652 343357.00 { KK+, 88, 55, AKs, A5s, AKo }

      I just added A5s to his river bet calling range as I think he makes a bad hero call now and then
