I normally only play cash games (sometimes badly) or single table sng's.
But last night I noticed on PS (not my normal site) they had $0.10 buy in for a tournament. So I bought in and got first place. I really think that after reading the strategy here for sng/tourn, it defo helped me to win, I paid more attention and wrote some notes. I won $8.60 and am dead proud of myself.

Yeah I know that felling. At party i once played MTT with 100 partypoints buyin. Finished 5th of ~650 players. Won something around 25$. I normally play FL so I play that tourney just for fun. Although i would make more money playing my 4 tables of FL I was so proud of myself. It was nice to see PS.com tourney strategies at work.

It doesn't matter to him how much he won? He is proud to have finished 1st. I think you should be supportive, instead of laughing to your pathetic little self.

      again, well done!

Gratz. I hate those low buyin tourneys on stars. They use a 20% payout structure which means 1st gets less but everyone else gets more.

Whats funny? If you read it you will see I very very rarely play MTT's and I thought it was quite an achievement finishing first out of 360. It doesnt matter what stakes or waht prize. Every level has its own fish, donks, calling stations and complete maniac. So, if you cant find anything constructive to say please keep your sarcasm for someone else.

      Kindest Regards

Winning MTTs and SNGs is always a sweet feeling :o

I remember the first months I played real money, I was such a donk but somehow made it up to 230$ on cash games on UltimateBet and about 150$ on FTP from making it in the money in a GTD tournament. I lost most of it, but it was bonus money and I never deposited. The experience helped alot and made me realize that even if I am somewhat of a pretty smart guy in real life, poker requires alot of knowledge that you can't just "figure out". Took a 2 months break, picked up some poker books, played micros with the little I had left, posting hands and getting feedback from more experienced player (before I joined Pokerstrategy).

I'm still far from a good player by all means though :) Still on the micros, I had to start back from almost nothing, but I have such a better understanding of the game and more importantly, of myself. (no more monkey tilt *touches wood*)
