Live poker seems to have alot more accountability and better access to winning funds than online poker.
Why cant sites be more like the casinos and payout instantly if a player so chooses for any amount?
Wouldnt this be better for online poker? Is it just me or i wonder if other players feel the same way about cashing out when you hit a big score. If online was to follow alot of the way things are done like casinos and cashout if a player chooses to.I feel online poker would have alot of accountability, something its been lacking over the last few years or more.
I would love to hear what other players opinions are on this.

Thanks for the compliment phantommm.Trying to get the hang of this.LOL.

I personally think Live and Online are forever linked together regardless of
which is better for the game.

But if Online was to mirror more of Live it would certainly be better for the game. After all if sites can be trusted again and be lead by someone who knows whats best for the game it could only be a good thing.

Too many times in the past we have seen site after site put a black mark on the game.Online Poker has so much potential.Alot more than people think.

If its done right theres potential for it to go thru the roof. There is room for another player in the online PokerWorld. There always is.

If another site was to go up and was done with great thinkers of the game who have innovative ideas and care about the future of the game, for sure.Of course it always comes down to money,it always does.

When there is a site who cares about the game, its players and ambassadors of the game and is always evolving.

PokerStars watchout.Theres gonna be a new sheriff in town. And they will give you a run for your title of Supremacy. It may take awhile, but its gonna happen eventually.

Someone who cares about the players and most of all the credibility and integrity of the game.

I never cared waiting for my money for a few days or so. Problem started when they asked to me wait a few years.

While in theory your idea is good, and it would certainly be great if online poker cashiers worked in a similar manner to casino cages, it is impractical. Do you have any ideas for how to implement your suggestions?

      A few problems:

      1) Security. Most withdrawals have to be approved by the site to ensure that there is nothing shady going on. This takes time. It also helps prevent chip dumping, bots, colluders, and other things.

      2) The sites have to pay a payment processing fee for every deposit or withdrawal. Casinos do not. For this reason they must ensure that a) the withdrawal is over a certain amount so they don't lose money and b) make sure that you aren't using the site as a transfer service and withdrawing money without playing as they end up having to pay for it.

      3) Laws and regulations vary around the world. A poker site is a global corporation and has to deal with the laws of many, many jurisdictions when dealing with money transfers. For some places it is very easy and deposits/withdrawals are quick, for others it takes longer. Regardless they must go through whatever due processes are required in order to stay above board. This can take time.

      4) How quick exactly do you want it to be? It's done electronically, not physically. They can't literally hand you a pile of cash whenever you want them to. They have to send the money via a bank account to your bank account. Even if you take poker out of the equation and were asking one friend to send another money on the other side of the world it wouldn't be instant, and it wouldn't be without fees (usually).

All things considered, I think poker withdrawals are generally pretty damn quick. I hit withdraw from my PokerStars account and 1-2 business days later the money is in my bank account. Other sites may be longer for many reasons. The availability, security and quickness in which you can access your money should always be considered when choosing what site to play on.

They must also do things like ID checks for security reasons - to help prevent multi-accounting, money laundering and people trying to work-around local laws. Once again, this takes time.

hello.its not only that they dont cash out instantly, sometimes the dont cash out at all!its very troubling.i have millions of dollars stuck on various sites, whenever i try to cash out a couple of grans they tell me that i dont have any real money on my account.how sick is this?bunch of scumbags.i even e-mailed my close friends mr Bush and mr Blair about it,they havent replied yet, will let you know if theres any news on this.just to avoid this post being too short,Ill add some useful information on giraffes here,(follows) in the next paragraph - the giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis) is anAfrican even-toed ungulatemammal, the tallest livingterrestrial animal and the largest ruminant.Itsspecific name refers to itscamel-like face and and the patches of color on its fur, which bear a vague resemblance to a leopard's spots. The giraffe is noted for its extremely long neck and legs,as well as its horn-like ossicones. It stands 5–6 m (16–20 ft) tall and has an average weight of 1,600 kg (3,500 lb) for males and 830 kg (1,800 lb) for females. It is classified under the family Giraffidae, along with its closest extant relative, the okapi. There are nine subspecies, which are distinguished by their coat patterns.
The giraffe's scattered range extends from Chadin the north to South Africain the south, and fromNiger in the west toSomalia in the east.Giraffes usually inhabitsavannas, grasslands, and open woodlands.Their primary food source isacacia leaves, which they can browse at heights that most other herbivores cannot reach.Giraffes are preyed on by lions, and calves are also targeted by leopards, spotted hyenasand wild dogs.Adult giraffes do not have strong social bonds, though they do gather in loose aggregations if they happen to be moving in the same general direction.

It has been said several times on here. There has to be certain proceedures that companies have to follow.

Gambling online at the moment is the easiest way to launder money and the companies haveto do all they can to show they are trying to prevent money laundering.

Due to online poker being accessable all over the world with laws that are different in different countries. Often in this situation regulations have to be in line with the toughest laws in the most stringent countries.

      Dont you guys use ewalletts?

Most cash outs are instant or at least within an hour or too for most sites.
