Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Spela upp hand

      $0.1/$0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

      Known players:
      MP2:
      $30.20
      MP3:
      $36.48
      CO:
      $28.32
      BU:
      $5.02
      SB (Hero):
      $25.10
      BB:
      $15.89

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, 8.
4 folds, Hero raises to $0.75, BB calls $0.50.

      Flop: ($1.5) 9, 8, 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.00, BB calls $1.00.

      Turn: ($3.5) 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $2.25, BB calls $2.25.

      River: ($8) 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $7.60, Hero folds, BB gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $8.

      Villain was 43/11

so my plan here was to bet twice for value vs 33-77, 8x, straight draws, and FDs.

OTR i dont think i can get value when the straight completes so i c/f to his HUGE river bet.

hmmm tbh I don't like that open pre ... you didn't put any info bout his fts, but I'd say he's quite loose ... Q8 doesn't seem good enough for me to play OOP vs this guy (where we can easily valuetown ourselves)...

as played seems fine ... it might be a little bit of thin but yee ... I don't think he will turn his weaker 8x, missed draws very often on a bluff (check his AF) if he does it's not really worth betting OTT since we just donate him coz we will fold actually any almost any river (he bluffs/valuebet anyway we're screwed)...

      Hello RainbowPonny,

Preflop: Depends a lot how the opponent plays postflop here, might be even not the greatest idea to steal with such a hand being OOP, especially if the guy doesn't give much up his blind nor postflop.

      As played
Postflop: I like your play and I'd also 2barrel it to protect from draws and maybe even get value from worse. Nice hand!

      Best Regards.
