      Hi,

      my question about this hand:

Is it good to 3bet against quite unknown BTN this time?
Should I try to C-bet on this flop or it is better to play check/fold?

      Thanks for any adfice :f_biggrin:

IPoker, $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 8 Players

      MP3: $5.16 (258 bb)
      CO: $0.99 (49.5 bb)
      BTN: $5 (250 bb)
      SB: $1.01 (50.5 bb)
      Hero (BB): $2.07 (103.5 bb)
      UTG+2: $2.97 (148.5 bb)
      MP1: $1.05 (52.5 bb)
      MP2: $1.82 (91 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q A
5 folds, BTN raises to $0.08, SB folds, Hero raises to $0.26, BTN calls $0.18

I played with BTN only 33 hands. He try to steal from BTN position 2 times from 2 possibilities. So I can say he is maybe stealer but sample 33 hands is not good enough.

I do not want to play AQo OOP so I decided to 3bet but get a call from him.

      Flop: ($0.53) 5 3 T (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.36, Hero folds

Flop is not very good for me so I decided to play check/fold this time.

      Results: $0.53 pot ($0.03 rake)
      Final Board: 5 3 T
BTN mucked and won $0.50 ($0.24 net)
Hero mucked Q A and lost (-$0.26 net)

      Hello TedG82,

Preflop: It's both plays playable, if you assume you have weak postflop play while being OOP then could even go for 3bet. Also it may happen that those guys on NL2 call you with worse hands, so could even be 3bet for value.
Postflop: Both ways is fine, dependent how loose we see the opponent and what kind of range we put him on we decide either to raise. If he is rather tighter side then Check/Folding just the flop is totally fine cause he will have a lot of PPs in his calling range. If you CB then you also must have a plan for further streets not that you just hoping that he just folds to 1barrel.

      Best Regards.
